What is Mentoring in a Thinking Environment?
The Time To Think Mentoring Model has its foundation in Thinking Partnership, which comes from the groundbreaking work of Nancy Kline.
The single most important factor in whether people can think well for themselves is how they are treated while they are thinking. The Course is designed to teach you how to create an environment in which the quality of one person’s attention can liberate the best thinking of another. The Mentoring Process is a simple yet powerful framework for applying Thinking Partnership to a Mentoring relationship, with space for wisdom to be shared.
How does it work?
Over two days, you will explore the behaviours (known as the Ten Components®) that generate independent thinking and experience the power of questions that drive discovery and can lead to breakthrough thinking.
You will learn about and experience a Mentoring Model that benefits both mentee and mentor , applying a structured process where the thinker/mentee receives your wisdom and can also think for themselves, as you replace the language of advice with the language of experience.
You will experience the Time To Think Council™, a simple yet effective way for a group to access each other’s knowledge and experience while maintaining the integrity and dignity of each other’s thinking.
