What is the Thinking Environment®?
The Thinking Environment is a powerful approach to personal and professional development that has been developed by Nancy Kline, founder of Time to Think Ltd. At it’s heart is the philosophy that when we can think well for ourselves, we can improve the quality of our decisions, our actions, and our outcomes.
During this in-person course, you will deepen your understanding of the Ten Components® that generate independent thinking and you will develop your skills to apply this approach in a range of settings. You will experience how this practical framework helps people to create an environment in which they can think creatively, rigorously, and collaboratively.
Using Thinking Pairs, Rounds, Dialogue and Open Discussion, you will learn how to present professionally the applications of the Thinking Environment that you explored on the Foundation Course. (i.e. the Building Blocks of Rounds, pairs etc. and the applications of Transforming Meetings™, Time To Think Council™, Presentations in a Thinking Environment and bespoke Facilitation of Groups.)
Following the course, completion of a supervised Practicum will lead to certification so that you can work with groups and organisations who want to become Thinking Environments.
